Have you thought about pursuing a career as a bus driver, but didn’t think you were qualified because you don’t have a commercial driver’s license? You do not need a CDL to apply for a bus driver position. Springfield Public Schools is accepting applications for Substitute School Bus Drivers to work split shifts: hours are approximately M–F 6:00am–9:00am and 1:30pm–4:30pm. We are looking for applicants who can pick up shifts as needed, drive students to field trips, or cover a route for a driver who is absent. Drivers accepting work will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 hours per day worked. Candidates who have a current driver’s license but don’t have a CDL will have the opportunity to be trained and obtain a CDL.
