POSITION RESPONSIBILITY

To providesafe and efficienttransportationsostudentsmay enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district’s curriculum and extracurricular program.Must be able to perform the nature of the position without loss of efficiency or composure. Substitute Bus Drivers reportdirectlyto the Transportation Supervisor andtoSchool Level Administratorswhen dealing with student discipline.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Maintain aClass B CommercialDriversLicense with“P”and“S”endorsements.
• Pass yearly Department of Transportation(DOT)Physical and maintain current DOT medical card.
• Backgroundwith and drug screening arerequiredperMCBOE Policy 5.106andMCBOE Policy 5.403.
• Annual “S”endorsement training to maintain“S”endorsementcertification.

DUTIES

• Perform daily pre-trip inspections
• Driver must adhere to all traffic laws and observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintains discipline when students are on the bus.
• Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority.
• Shall not use profanity or tobacco in any form when students are being transported.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Drivers must meet and pass the annual physical requirements per the Department of Transportation and maintain a current DOT medical card.
