Qualifications

• Ability to pass required background checks and physical examinations.
• Annual Department of Transportation Medical Examiners’ Certificate is needed.
• Must pass background checks and physicals.
• Annual DOT Medical Examiners’ Certificate required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on regular or special routes as assigned.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
• Maintain appropriate student conduct and ensure student safety on the bus.
• Build positive and respectful relationships with students, families, and staff.

• Communicate effectively with school personnel, students, and families as needed.
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
