While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have regular and reliable attendance, is regularly required to sit, ride long distances on a school bus (could be over bumpy roads), talk and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; bend at the knees, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools and/or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Use of computer is occasional. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 125 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Random drug and alcohol testing. Bus drivers must also pass a D.O.T. physical, vision test, drug and alcohol test and a physical agility test. Blood pressure must not be higher than 140 over 90. Drivers are also required to be certified in both First Aid and CPR.
