The Burlington Community School District seeks a Substitute Associate to support teachers and students across district settings in Burlington, IA. This full-time position requires flexibility and a readiness to assist in classrooms, offices, and clinics.

The role includes supervising students on the playground and in common areas, plus helping with basic math, reading, and writing tasks and operating school computer systems as directed by staff.

Job Description

Substitute associates must possess a high school diploma or GED. Responsibilities may include assisting teachers and students in a variety of settings, including, but not limited to classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one situations. Also, must be able to supervise and maintain discipline on the playground, in the lunchroom, classroom, and in traffic congested areas. Must have basic understanding of math, reading, writing skills, computer skills, and the ability to follow the directions of numerous teachers. Must be able to assist in the school office and clinic as needed. Flexibility, mobility, and ability to lift required. Other duties as assigned.
