Job summary

YWCA Central Massachusetts Inc. seeks a Substitute Group Leader to supervise children in after-school programs at Roosevelt or Clark Street School in Worcester from 2:00pm to 5:30pm as needed.

Responsibilities include balancing social, recreational, and structured activities, supervising children, and maintaining a safe environment. You will communicate with parents daily, participate with the Site Coordinator, and support families in need of intervention.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 months experience working with school age children.
• Ability to relate with coworkers/parents in a cooperative and positive manner.
• Supports after-school programs 2:00pm–5:30pm at Roosevelt or Clark Street School.

Responsibilities

• Oversee children in after-school programs.
• Implement a balance of social, recreational and structured activities.
• Supervise play and structured activities.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment; perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Communicate with parents daily about progress; work with the School Age Site Coordinator.
