AES Corporation in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support IPL Relay/SCADA initiatives. You will contribute to relay setting calculations, RTU/SCADA configurations, and protection-system evaluations in substations and power plants.

Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited EE degrees and 2–5 years in protective relaying or SCADA, with knowledge of ASPEN OneLiner, DNP3, and Modbus. Safety and reliability focus is essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of progressive engineering experience.
• 2–4 years in Protective Relaying or SCADA in electric utility transmission/distribution and power plants.

Responsabilités

• Perform relay setting calculations and coordination studies.
• Develop RTU/SCADA configurations.
• Evaluate relay performance after system events.
• Oversee commissioning of new SCADA and relay equipment and systems.
• Investigate and resolve protection and control system issues.
• Support field staff in construction and maintenance activities.
• Create or revise substation control schemes and wiring diagrams.
