Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Phoenix, AZ offers an Engineering Intern role supporting the Transmission & Distribution group and other market teams. You will apply standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers with project duties, and contribute to design updates, documentation, and presentations.

This internship emphasizes data collection, analysis, and problem solving with opportunities for continuous improvement and ad hoc project work.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Active involvement in campus, community or other volunteer activities.
• Legally authorized to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement efforts.
• Present solutions to project concerns and team leaders.
• Research solutions to project concerns and recommend approaches.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
