Job summary

Energy Erectors, Inc. (EEI - A MasTec Company) seeks a Substation Superintendent to lead field crews on substations and switchyards, reporting to the Project Manager.

You will oversee day-to-day activities from Groundman to Leadman, ensuring schedule adherence, safety, and quality across the project. The role requires strong planning, resource forecasting, and team leadership to keep projects on time and within budget, with a focus on field execution and coordination with support teams and

Qualifications

• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook and internal systems.
• Ability to apply basic engineering principles to construction challenges.
• Ability to visualize the entire project and embed solutions in plans and schedules.
• Must be able to schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency.
• Ability to manage others and facets of the construction project.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and execute the project plan to schedule and ensure budget adherence.
• Supervise and coordinate all construction activities.
• Track and communicate weekly project reports and three-week look ahead.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet quality standards and design requirements.
• Initiate and conduct project meetings with staff and management.
• Review plans, address details, and resolve issues to avoid cost overruns.
• Advise Superintendent of potential problems and help resolve conflicts.
• Enforce site plans and safety procedures in line with EEI culture.
• Review and submit weekly time sheets to payroll.
• Maintain the project diary.
