Job summary

WSP USA seeks an experienced Substation Structural Engineer for the Dallas, TX office, with consideration for Tampa, FL. You will join our Power & Energy Civil Structural Substation Team, delivering structural design, calculations, and drawings for electrical substations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with electrical, civil, geotechnical and construction disciplines, applying design standards, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of post-education structural engineering experience for substations.
• EIT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional structural engineering work for electrical substations.
• Prepare calculations, design criteria, and calculation packages.
• Develop construction specifications and cost estimates.
• Produce and review structural drawings and fabrication‑ready documents.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, geotechnical, and construction teams.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of deliverables.
