Black & Veatch invites a Structural Engineer (Substation) Summer Intern to contribute to critical infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience across disciplines.

Chosen candidates will be located in or relocate to Overland Park (KS), Bloomington (MN), Houston (TX), Austin (TX), College Station (TX), or Dallas (TX).

Qualifications

• Enrollment in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering with at least one design course.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR).

Responsibilities

• Support development of design specifications and contract drawings.
• Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling.
• Organize and file project materials and references.
