HDR, Inc. is seeking a Substation Structural EIT/Coordinator in Saint Louis Park, MN. You will assist senior engineers with site studies and designs, manage civil/site project tasks, and contribute to layout, grading, and drainage work.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and an active commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture. A Master's in Structural Engineering and an EIT certificate are preferred, with career progression tied to obtaining the EIT. Civil software familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required for the role.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate is preferred; without EIT you become Coordinator role and must obtain EIT for career progression.
• Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD and civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D; OpenFlows as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation.
• Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage.
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., Openflows) as required
