Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking an Engineer 1 to support a major utility initiative focused on reviewing and improving the accuracy of substation Single Line Diagrams (SLDs). Responsibilities include reviewing SLDs for electrical and physical accuracy, comparing with three-line diagrams and protection drawings, verifying bus, line, transformer, and equipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with transmission or substation engineering.
• Ability to identify discrepancies across multiple sources.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review transmission substation SLDs for electrical and physical accuracy.
• Compare SLDs against three-line diagrams, protection drawings, and equipment records.
• Verify connectivity of buses, lines, transformers, and breakers.
• Document corrections and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Track drawings through review and approval processes.
