Qualifications

• Associate degree or military equivalent in electrical/electronics.
• 0–4 years of experience.
• Willing to work 24-hour callouts and overtime.
• Preferred: substation relaying experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on all types of substation protective relay systems, control equipment, and communications equipment.
• Install, commission and test substation protective relays, digital and analog telemetering, line equipment and related devices.
• Commission, maintain and test current transformers, fiber optic cables, and substation control cables.
• End-to-end relay testing using Doble ProTest software or Protection Suite.
• Prepare and maintain records of equipment tests and maintenance.
• Train and mentor fellow employees in related activities.
• Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot problems.
