Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Project Manager in Transmission & Distribution with responsibility for electrical substation projects. The role involves managing scope, budget, schedule, and client coordination across Akron, St. Louis, and Columbus offices.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in engineering project management, strong communication skills, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Full‑time, onsite roles with travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of related experience, including 3+ years in project management.
• Experience managing engineering projects in Transmission & Distribution.
• Experience producing engineering design and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, assist in presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.
• Leverage existing client relationships and develop new ones to drive repeat work.
• Manage projects from concept to completion including siting, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, procurement, and construction.
