Principal Consultant - Client Relations (Renewable Energy) (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 remote)

Vallum Associates are partnered with an established utility partner and are seeking a driven Project Manager with strong experience in high-voltage (HV) substation and transmission line projects. This individual will lead a portfolio of transmission construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate internal teams and subcontractors across multiple active projects
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, procurement, and cost management
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, and stakeholders
• Identify and resolve design, constructability, and permitting challenges proactively

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in project management within electrical transmission or substation construction
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Utility or EPC experience highly preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with MS Office and Primavera
