Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is opening a Nebraska office and seeks a substation project manager to lead design, procurement and commissioning efforts for new and upgraded substations.

You will oversee project teams across engineering, drafting and support staff, coordinating with Distribution, Transmission, Civil, SCADA, environmental planning and project controls to ensure quality execution. A PE license and PMP are preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years' project engineering experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership.
• PE license and PMP certification preferred.
• Ability to direct multiple technical disciplines in substation projects.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of substations.
• Material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization.
• Scope, budgeting, scheduling, planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of substation projects.
• Coordinate with discipline groups and clients to ensure successful execution.
• Provide technical mentorship and training to project team staff.
