Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) seeks a Substation Project Engineer to help start and grow a new Nebraska office in Columbus, Omaha, or Lincoln.

Responsibilities include conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of substations, procurement, construction support and energization. You will coordinate with internal groups and clients, mentor design staff, and ensure project quality and on-schedule delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering; 6+ years' project and design experience.
• Strong communication, organization, teamwork; ability to meet fast-paced schedules.
• PE license preferred; knowledge of power engineering standards and design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design new, upgraded, and expanded substations from conceptual to final.
• Procure materials and support construction and commissioning.
• Develop physical, electrical, civil, and communication design studies and drawings.
• Coordinate client and stakeholder relations; mentor design staff.
• Oversee design engineers, drafters, and project teams; QA oversight.
