Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is seeking a Substation Project Engineer to help establish and grow a Nebraska office. Responsibilities include substation design and project coordination across electrical, civil, and communications disciplines, with mentoring and client interaction.

The role requires a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, 6+ years of project and design experience, and strong communication skills. PE license is preferred; travel and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering required.
• Strong knowledge of power engineering principles and design tools.
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks and teams.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of substations.
• Material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support.
• Coordinate disciplines and mentor design staff on projects.
