Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is seeking a Substation Project Engineer to help establish and grow a Nebraska office. Responsibilities include substation design and project coordination across electrical, civil, and communications disciplines, with mentoring and client interaction.
The role requires a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, 6+ years of project and design experience, and strong communication skills. PE license is preferred; travel and background checks apply.

Description: Electrical Consultants, Inc. ECI is opening an office in Nebraska in one of the cities listed above and has an opening for a substation project engineer. This is a great opportunity to help start and grow a new office location.
Responsibilities include the conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new, upgraded and expanded substations, including material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization. Engineering responsibilities include the development and delivery of physical, electrical, civil and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits and specifications. A Project Engineer assists the Project Manager in the planning and execution of best-in-class projects, including client and stakeholder coordination, training and mentoring of design staff, project quality assurance, and oversight of design engineers, designers, drafters and support staff.
Project Engineers coordinate the completion of specialized tasks with ECI's subject matter expert discipline groups such as Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Protection (relay coordination and settings), Civil Engineering, Communication (SCADA Integration), Transmission & Distribution Engineering, Environmental Planning, Surveying, Lands/Right-of-Way, and Project Management/Controls.
Salary commensurate with experience and education.
