Job summary

Dashiell is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of high‑voltage substation and transmission line projects in our Westlake, Texas office.

You will assist the Project Manager and sales team in estimates, schedules, and progress reporting, coordinating with Purchasing, Engineering, and Field Service to ensure on‑time, on‑budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management or related field is required.
• Three years of experience in the design, construction or operations of substations and/or transmission lines is strongly preferred.
• Three years of experience in the supervision/management of budgets and work groups is preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of substations, substation control and transmission systems is strongly preferred
• Understand financial aspects of project controls
• Interpersonal skills, technical knowledge, organizational ability and leadership talent
• Able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers from a project or sales perspective
• Ability to negotiate and influence key decision makers
• Technical writing skills with an understanding of business management concepts
• Computer proficient: familiar with Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Microsoft Project and Primavera experience strongly preferred
• Willing to travel to project sites as necessary
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer (meetings, scheduling, reporting).

Responsibilities

• Review the cost, schedule, safety, quality, and completion of construction projects in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to expedite and receive requested materials for construction projects.
• Assist PM in cash flows, monthly billing, and change orders for assigned projects.
• Assist with monthly construction progress reports, re-projections, and project files.
• Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules and related work.
• Assist with developing project estimates and pricing.
• Assist sales in proposals or customer calls.
• Resolve inter-group conflicts to meet construction goals.
• Collaborate with Dacon, Field Service, Engineering, and Sales across divisions.
