Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate Electrical Engineering program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional interaction with clients and design team members.
• Willingness to learn in a flexible, cross-disciplinary work environment.
• Willingness to attend site visits and perform work outdoors, including energized substations under supervision.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in preparing substation one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, and protection and control schematics.
• Support development of equipment specifications, BOMs, and construction drawings for substation design projects.
• Assist with power system studies, including short circuit, protective relay coordination, and grounding grid analyses.
• Help prepare physical layout and structural drawings for substation equipment (transformers, breakers, switchgear).
• Coordinate with civil/structural design to support integrated substation design packages.
• Travel to substation project sites as necessary to gather field data and support commissioning or construction activities.
