Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an O&M Substation Specialist to provide technical support for substation operations, maintenance planning, and emergency field responses. You will lead maintenance efforts, estimate activities, and ensure safety and quality across substations and related energy storage systems.

The role supports multiple locations in a hybrid work environment with opportunities for career growth and leadership in the Infrastructure Advisory Delivery Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 9–12 years of Substations and Distribution Systems O&M experience preferred.
• Experience estimating commissioning and maintenance activities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and oversight to substation maintenance activities.
• Develop maintenance schedules and estimates for substations and related tech.
• Provide emergency onsite field support for substation and distribution systems repairs.
