Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Groundperson to support substation construction, maintenance, and switching under the supervision of the area General Foreperson. The role focuses on ground work, safe practices, and coordination with apprentices in adherence to company procedures.

Responsibilities include clearing sites, assisting with structure installation, communicating with property owners, and performing a variety of manual tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work from the ground.
• Clears work area around structures.
• Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Communicates with property owners about work to be performed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Foreperson related to utility line work.
• Assembles material on the ground for installation by the lineperson or apprentice.
• Flags traffic.
• Operates tools such as digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come along, jack hammer, and hand line.
• Working hours may extend into night and exceed an eight hour day.
