Job summary

CLP Engineering (CLPE) is seeking an Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead a team responsible for planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university.
• PE License is required.
• Minimum of eight (8+) years' work experience in the electric utility industry.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to motivate, provide guidance and oversee daily responsibilities.
• Expert knowledge with medium voltage electrical substations and distribution systems.
• Expert with power system analysis (ETAP or similar software).
• Experienced in drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documentation.
• Ability to prepare and maintain construction project schedules (MS Project a plus).
• Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering team for power distribution/substation projects.
• Oversee design drawings, specs, BOMs, and deliverables.
• Provide technical input and ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop design alternatives and engineering estimates.
• Support project execution as Owners Engineer for RFIs.
• Prepare cost estimates and schedules for large projects.
• Serve as customer interface and maintain relationships.
• Perform site surveys and pre-construction walks.
• Mentor junior engineers.
