Xcel Energy is offering a paid internship in Colorado to support the Substation Field Engineering Organization. This role provides hands-on training in substation engineering tasks, calculations, and documentation updates while you learn CAD tools and work with Field Engineers.

Ideal candidates are current students in engineering, available to work full-time in the summer or part-time in spring, with a 3.0 GPA or higher preferred and strong Windows/Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing an engineering degree.
• Enrolled in Electrical Engineering or related field and able to work full-time during summer (up to 40 hours/week) or part-time during spring (up to 20 hours/week).
• Knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office is a plus.

This paid internship provides practical and hands-on training in the substation area which includes supporting the engineering operations.
