Job summary

Cianbro is seeking a Substation Estimator to develop preliminary and conceptual estimates for substation projects in the U.S. Georgia area.

You will review RFQ information, drawings, and specifications to determine scope, quantities, and costs, and participate in proposal preparation and pricing coordination with vendors and the project team. The role requires an engineering degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of three years in substation estimating, with strong computer skills and

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of substation estimating experience.
• Requires strong computer skills, familiarity with scheduling and estimating software (HCSS) and MS Office.
• Conceptual estimating skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop preliminary estimate plan and assess ability to meet RFP dates.
• Identify scope of work and perform quantity and cost takeoffs from RFQ information.
• Review plans and specs to ensure estimates meet client requirements.
• Prepare conceptual estimates when detailed design is unavailable.
• Coordinate with production and subcontractors to solicit pricing.
