Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Substation Estimator to support a portfolio of high-voltage substation projects based in Lewisville, TX. You will develop detailed cost estimates, review drawings and RFPs, and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate pricing.

The role requires 5+ years of estimating experience in substation or power infrastructure and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office. This is a high-visibility position with growth opportunities in the utility sector.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in substation, utility, or power infrastructure construction.
• Knowledge of high-voltage equipment such as transformers, breakers, bus systems, and grounding.
• Understanding of construction means and methods, productivity factors, and project costing.
• Experience supporting utility or EPC projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for substation construction projects, including new builds, expansions, and upgrades.
• Review drawings, specifications, and RFPs to prepare accurate takeoffs and pricing.
• Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and procurement personnel.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Assist with bid preparation, risk assessment, and value engineering efforts.
