Job summary

New River Electrical Corporation is seeking a Manager, Substation Engineering to lead the development of its substation engineering organization in support of EPC projects within the energy delivery and electrical construction industry.

The role will drive phased growth from coordinating with external engineering partners to building a fully functional in‑house team, setting standards and processes, and mentoring engineers and designers to deliver safe, quality projects on time and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of related work experience in engineering design and/or technical leadership within energy delivery/electric utility industry.
• Proven track record of managing P&L and delivering results in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the phased development of internal substation engineering organization.
• Establish engineering standards, design criteria, and quality requirements.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain engineers, designers, and drafters.
