Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering in Lenexa, KS is seeking undergraduate Electrical Engineering students for a Power Delivery focused internship. You will assist with engineering and design duties, applying fundamentals to substation design and EPC projects across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with a power background preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• GPA above 3.0 preferred.
• Working in a team environment and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Create design documents and drawings for projects, including wiring diagrams and BOMs.
• Assist with relay burden, lighting, load flow, and short circuit calculations.
• Use engineering software for ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, load flow studies.
• Review project schedules and coordinate with the project engineer to stay on track.
• Apply corporate engineering practices and assist with project activities.
