Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of engineering experience, including electric substation and transmission line engineering.
• 2 years of leadership experience.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Registered Electrical P.E. license.
• Familiarity with PG&E standards, design processes, and scheduling tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of 15-18 Project Engineers, Design Engineers, Design Drafters and Engineering Assistants.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure a safe work environment.
• Communicate company objectives and coach staff to align with department goals.
• Promote understanding of Substation Engineering's role in project success.
• Plan and maintain production schedules with Project Management and Substation Construction.
• Make timely decisions regarding internal work and contracted work.
