Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking an entry-level TFS Station Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for transmission substations and high-voltage equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable operation and support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and capital projects.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, documentation, and regulatory compliance, with growth towards professional licensure as a PE.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge applying engineering theory to well-defined problems with guidance.
• Fundamental understanding of standards, codes, and regulations relevant to the assignment.
• Ability to work with others and seek guidance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support for transmission substation equipment and systems.
• Assist field personnel with troubleshooting, abnormal conditions, and maintenance planning.
• Participate in project scoping, design reviews, commissioning, and closeout.
• Support outage, restoration activities and equipment replacement planning.
• Assist with documentation, configuration management, and regulatory compliance.
