Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineering Technician - Substation in a project-based role. The position supports engineering and design teams, develops and modifies technical deliverables, and uses CAD/BIM/3D modeling to produce drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may be completed if selected (background check, drug screen, MVR)

Responsibilities

• Functions in a project engineering technician capacity.
• Supports engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables.
• Applies foundational engineering principles and design practices to create moderately complex concepts.
• Uses CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling to create, modify, and maintain technical drawings and deliverables.
• Provides technical guidance to other engineering professionals and technicians to ensure quality and consistency across outputs.
• Applies knowledge of standards, codes, and BV policies in deliverables.
