WSP is initiating a search for an Early Career Substation Electrical Engineer for our Billings, MT office. Be involved in projects with our Power Delivery Billings Substation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges.

The Early Career Substation Electrical Engineer will share responsibility with the rest of the department to produce a product consistent with WSP's mission statement and our culture.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical engineering with a power option preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Willingness to relocate to Billings, MT with minimal assistance.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and oral).
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in detailed design of low to extra-high voltage substations: one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, yard layouts, grounding and foundation details.
• Support QA/QC for client deliverables.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and safety policies.
• Learn and apply client standards and processes in team-based design tasks.
