HDR is seeking a Substation Physical Electrical Engineering Intern in Minnesota to gain hands-on experience designing substation systems, creating and modifying drawings, and applying industry tools under the guidance of a Project Lead. You will assist with procurement and perform AC/DC calculations for current and future load while learning to apply standard engineering practices.

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication skills and basic Microsoft Office experience.

Aufgaben

• Focus on the Physical design of electrical substations.
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Project Lead or Project Manager.
• Create/modify substation physical drawings including markups and equipment specifications; assist with procurement.
• Apply industry standard engineering tools, techniques and procedures.
• Complete AC/DC System calculations based on current/future load.
• Perform other duties as needed.
