Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an Engineering professional in the Power sector based in Ann Arbor, MI. You will conduct analyses to develop power-related design options and assist with deliverables such as drawings, cost estimates, and specifications.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and active involvement in the EIT process, with strong Microsoft Office skills and a collaborative, employee-owned culture. This is a full-time, on-site role in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Must hold or be actively pursuing Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, project specifications).
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
  • Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
  • Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed.

  • Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office
