Job summary

Haskell Company in Frisco, TX seeks a Senior Substation Designer to design physical layouts for 15kV–500kV substations. You will deliver complete design packages, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction.

You will interpret one-line and three-line diagrams, apply IEEE/NESC/NEC standards, and coordinate with engineers to meet project milestones. Strong AutoCAD and 3D modeling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substation physical design experience (utility or EPC preferred).
• Associate degree in Drafting or Engineering Technology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Create complete physical design packages for substations and retrofit projects.
• Coordinate with engineers and drafters to meet project requirements.
• Interpret one-line and three-line diagrams to develop complete drawings.
• Apply IEEE, NESC, NEC and client standards to all design work.
• Provide field support and perform site visits to verify design accuracy.
