Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Student Intern in Engineering for Substation Design in New Orleans, LA. You will work onsite with the Project Delivery Engineering Department to support planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of transmission lines and substations across the four-state region.

The internship requires active enrollment in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering at bachelor's, master's, or doctoral level. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a bachelors, masters or doctorate program in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering for the duration of the internship.
• Travel up to 25% of the time may be required.
• GPA 2.8 on a 4.0 scale or higher as verified by transcript.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in day-to-day activities in a team environment.
• Perform design work based on project scoping and site visits.
• Use design software to model field configurations and prepare one-line diagrams.
• Validate estimates and ensure materials are ordered and staged for projects.
• Assist in project management and documentation, including as-built records.
