Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is offering an Engineering Intern role to support substation design projects across the QISG platform. You will work with experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in physical layout, protection & control systems, and industry standards.

The internship is ideal for electrical engineering students pursuing ABET-accredited programs, with opportunities to learn CAD tools, engineering software, and collaborate on real-world projects within a supportive

Qualifications

Pursuing ABET-accredited BEng in Electrical Engineering.
Interest in learning about substation components and design principles.
Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering software is a plus.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing physical substation components such as yard layouts, grounding, and control building arrangements.
Support the development of protection and control schematics and wiring diagrams.
Help prepare design drawings, calculations, and bills of material.
Learn and apply engineering standards including NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI.
Participate in quality reviews and collaborate with engineers to refine designs.
Maintain project documentation and assist with engineering calculations.
Attend team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
