Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG) offers a hands-on engineering internship focused on substation design across the QISG platform. You’ll work with experienced engineers on yard layouts, grounding, and control building arrangements while learning about protection and control systems.

You will gain exposure to NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards, CAD tools, and engineering calculations, contributing to real-world projects while pursuing your electrical engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program.
• Interest in substation design and energy infrastructure.
• Familiarity with CAD tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing physical substation components such as yard layouts and grounding.
• Support development of protection and control schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Help prepare design drawings, calculations, and bills of material.
• Learn engineering standards including NEC, NESC, IEEE and ANSI.
• Participate in team reviews and contribute to problem solving.
• Maintain project documentation and assist with calculations.
