Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG) is seeking an Engineering Intern to support substation design projects across the QISG platform. You will work with experienced engineers, learn about physical layout, protection and control systems, and industry standards while pursuing a degree in electrical engineering.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Interest in substation components and design principles.
Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering software is a plus.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing physical substation components such as yard layouts, grounding, and control building arrangements.
Support the development of protection and control schematics and wiring diagrams.
Help prepare design drawings, calculations, and bills of material.
Learn and apply engineering standards including NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI.
Attend team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
