Job summary
Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer for substations with a focus on protection relay design and interconnection projects. The role involves developing plans and drawings for renewables and utility interconnections, coordinating with designers and CAD staff, and engaging with customers and vendors.
The candidate should have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 2–5 years of experience, and an EIT certification; PE would be a plus.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Engineering in Training (EIT) certification required; PE exam a plus.
- Experience with renewables/substation design and protection/SCADA is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in development of plans, specifications and inspection reports.
- Assist in preparation of material lists and labor contracts.
- Assist with preparation of Solar/Wind Farm, Battery Storage, substation and interconnection designs and construction drawings (AC/DC, LV/MV/HV).
- Provide direction to designers and CAD operators on assigned team.
- Interact with customers and vendors as needed.
- Supervise and train junior engineers.
- Perform basic MS Office tasks (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
