Job summary

Aecon invites you to join its substation construction team in Irving, TX. As a Substation Helper, you will assist with daily construction activities across multiple scopes, interpret IFC drawings, and support installation of conduit, grounding systems, and other substation components.

You will follow foremen directions, maintain tools and materials, and learn proper safety practices in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of substation field experience.
Exposure to conduit installation and routing, grounding practices, and cable management components.
Developing knowledge of substation materials, tools, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily substation construction activities across multiple installation scopes.
Interpret IFC drawings and provide input or redlines as experience develops.
Support installation of conduit, grounding systems, and other substation components.
Follow direction from Foremen and Supervisors to execute work safely and efficiently.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.
Learn and apply proper construction methods, standards, and safety practices.
Assist in identifying material and consumable needs for assigned tasks.
Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by adhering to Aecon’s safety policies.
