Job summary

Bartech Staffing is seeking a Substation Construction Planner in Garner, NC to organize and manage construction/maintenance work packages for substations and transmission assets. The role involves reviewing equipment history, estimating hours, and coordinating with schedulers to optimize resource use.

Travel to sites and local duties are required. Candidate must have at least 5 years of Substation Construction experience and be ITOA/switching and tagging qualified.

Qualifications

• 5 years Substation Construction Experience.
• Knowledge of ITOA or switching and tagging qualified.

Responsibilities

• Develop work packages with scope of work, hours, skills, procedures, tools and materials for scheduling and delivery.
• Produce construction estimates for durations, man-hours, and resources.
• Identify critical activities and keep groups informed to avoid delays.
• Coordinate clearances and scheduling with Grid Management, ECC & TCC, and DCC.
• Attend scoping and pre-construction meetings and assess site requirements and parts availability.
• Ensure annual Construction & Maintenance work plan is completed.
