Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Substation Construction Manager through WECTEC Staffing Services for a 1-year contract in Juno Beach, FL. You will prioritize and enforce safety protocols on the job site and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet standards.

The role requires leading construction activities, reviewing electrical, mechanical, civil, and steel drawings, and maintaining QA/QC documents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in a supervisory or team-leader role with project leadership.
• Experience managing construction projects across electrical, mechanical, and civil disciplines.
• GED or high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Keep detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections.
• Lead construction teams and monitor tasks to keep projects on track.
• Review electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural drawings for compliance.
• Coordinate with EPCs on RFIs and change orders.
• Procure materials and perform take-offs.
• Support commissioning and energization turnover.

About the role:

Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408

We are looking for a Substation Construction Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) You will prioritize and enforce safety protocols on the job site, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. You would need to have a broad understanding of company policies and procedures. You will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed effectively. You will perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audits construction quality, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications

1-year contract assignment. (W-2)

Key Responsibilities:

• Keeps detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections.
• Experience in leading and managing construction, including monitoring tasks, providing
• Vast knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and practices, including the ability to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, ensuring the project stays on track.
• Familiar with concrete work, flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, GSU containment pits.
• Work with EPC to resolve requests for information (RFI) and change orders.
• Perform material procurement and material take offs.
• Review project after completion and report successes, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work safely near equipment energized at hazardous voltage levels.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Turnover and support Commissioning efforts through energization.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of five (5) experience in supervisory/team leader role with demonstrated project leadership and management abilities.
