Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a Substation Construction Manager for a 1-year contract in Juno Beach, FL. You will lead safety-compliant construction activities and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and EPC to deliver projects on schedule.

The role requires five years of supervisory experience and knowledge of electrical, mechanical, civil, and steel drawings; ensure QA/QC, maintain records, and manage RFIs and change

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' supervisory experience on construction projects.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, civil, and steel drawings.

Responsibilities

• Keeps detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections.
• Lead construction teams, monitor tasks, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts.
• Review electrical, mechanical, civil, and steel drawings for QA/QC compliance.
• Identify hazards and enforce safety regulations on-site.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and EPC to resolve RFIs and change orders.
• Perform material procurement and material take-offs.
• Ensure project stays on schedule and report outcomes post-completion.

About the role: Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408

We are looking for a Substation Construction Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) You will prioritize and enforce safety protocols on the job site, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. You would need to have a broad understanding of company policies and procedures. You will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed effectively. You will perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audits construction quality, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications

1-year contract assignment. (W-2)

Key Responsibilities

• Keeps detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections.
• Experience in leading and managing construction, including monitoring tasks, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts.
• Vast knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and practices, including the ability to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, ensuring the project stays on track.
• Familiar with concrete work, flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, GSU containment pits.
• Work with EPC to resolve requests for information (RFI) and change orders.
• Perform material procurement and material take offs.
• Review project after completion and report successes, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work safely near equipment energized at hazardous voltage levels.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Turnover and support Commissioning efforts through energization.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in supervisory/team leader role with demonstrated project leadership and management abilities.
