Xcel Energy is seeking an Entry Engineer to support the design, development, and delivery of substation projects. You will collaborate with civil, protection and control, construction, and operations teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient designs.

Based in Amarillo, Texas, this hybrid role offers on-site collaboration three days per week with flexible work arrangements. Bachelor’s in engineering (ABET) is required; EIT/FE preferred; salary ranges from $70,000 to $88,667 for entry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited curriculum (Electrical Engineering preferred).
• EIT/FE certification is preferred.
• 0+ years of relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop substation designs for transmission and distribution projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and material requirements to support project execution.
• Provide field engineering oversight and resolve design conflicts with construction teams.
