Job summary

Dashiell Corporation is searching for an experienced Civil/Structural Preconstruction Engineer in Houston, TX. This role involves supporting civil and structural scope on high voltage substation projects, ensuring accuracy in bids, and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in civil/structural design or estimating in heavy power infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of applicable design codes such as ACI, AISC, ASCE.
• P.E. license preferred; candidates pursuing licensure will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform material takeoffs and cost estimates for substation EPC projects.
• Prepare estimate basis documentation communicating scope inclusions and uncertainties.
• Review geotechnical investigation reports and apply findings to designs.
