Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to provide expert civil-structural design and direction for substation projects. The role combines billable project work, discipline-specific design, and project management support for delivery to clients in the electrical utility sector.

Qualified candidates will have a Civil Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and 2–4 years of relevant experience; EIT is preferred with PE license pursuit within two years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 2-4 years Civil/Structural Engineer experience in the electrical power delivery field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred; aiming for PE license within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and resolve engineering and design problems.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and sketches with attention to quality.
• Understand and create substation civil-structural drawings (foundations, steel, bus, cable).
• Interact with clients' engineers and maintain professional relationships.
• Support project management, proposals, and budgets.
