Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a Civil-Structural Engineer to support transmission substation engineering and design teams in delivering safe, cost-effective projects. You will handle both billable project work and project management tasks, mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with other disciplines.

The role requires ABET-accredited civil engineering training, 2–4 years of applicable experience, and strong reporting, communication, and technical drawing skills for foundations and structural

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred; PE license within two years.
• Experience with electrical power delivery projects.
• Ability to develop and review civil-structural drawings for substation projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Experience identifying, analyzing, and solving engineering, technical, and design problems.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare timely, accurate technical reports, correspondence, calculations, and sketches.
• Pursue continuous improvement of engineering knowledge and processes.
• Communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Create substation civil-structural drawing packages (foundations, structural steel, bus and cable).
• Represent the company professionally in client interactions.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and monitor deliverables and schedules.
